GED Articles and Resources

For the more than 40 million Americans that do not have a high school diploma, the GED is a big step forward. However, the biggest step after the GED will definitely be college. It doesn’t matter if it’s a university or a trade school that you choose to attend; all you need to know is that a post-secondary education will greatly enhance your earning potential. Many people that I talk to, usually do not believe that a GED can prepare them for college. The main question is “how can someone that did not finish high school obtain the recommended skills to graduate college?”
It is no secret that college can be very daunting, especially for those that have been out of school for quite some time. Unfortunately, passing the GED does not fully prepare you for college. However, passing the GED will get you into college if that’s what you would like to do. Once you’re in, you can then figure things out a little better. Without a high school diploma or a GED, college is not an option. Therefore, use the GED as a stepping stone to where you want to go.
